Thanks I appreciate the validation!

Weezer, I agree with you that it is possible to develop an eating disorder if you're not careful. Most people don't have the addictive personality to crave the results for weight loss. I do, but I did have an eating disorder. Thats why I'm so sensitive to my mom's comments. Not that it's bad or good, but that I don't want my weight to get out of hand. I admit to weighing myself 3-4 times a day unless I control myself. You're really not even supposed to weigh yourself everyday, I am told. So I really have to discipline myself.

It's also enticing to see the clothes sizes dip lower and lower. I have to control myself from waking up in the morning and checking whether my hip bones are prominent. Thats just an example of my obsession.

I agree that low carb is a way of life and a light for some of us who don't like what we're seeing for health reasons among other reasons. I love being healthy and saying bye-bye to the things I thought were "no big deal" or even healthy! It's a lifestyle change and I am being responsible and not letting it take over.

I count every single carb and will deny myself cream in my coffee to allow myself 1/3 cup of nuts later in the day. It gets down to counting out the nuts sometimes. Yes, it can become an obsession.
