Angry Confused about having atkins bake mix during induction

Im confused now, Im on day 11 of the diet and I had pancakes 3 days in a row. I love pancakes! On the atkins websit it states I can have them during induction but I happen to look at the back of the atkins pancake mix and it stated that it is not suitable for induction. Im really upset about this. Do I have to start induction over? *Sigh

No, I would not restart induction. The reason they say its not suitable for induction, is because they want you to do a clean induction. With no frankenfoods at all. Have you lost weight during your induction? That would be the main question.

Thanks for the reply! My weigh in is on Monday. I just wish that they could be a bit more consistent in their labeling! One place says its ok and another place says no. This makes it more difficult to do the diet properly especially for newcomers like me. Well, we shall see come Monday!

Ok i found the problem i accidently bought the delux buttermilk mix. Sorry about the mix up. I pretty bummed. I feel like 11 days of hard work was in vain. Well I guess Ill start fresh tomorrow.

We have to remember that the Atkins food manufacturer (and supplements) has been sold. So there may be some disagreements. And I'm not sure about who owns or runs the site anymore.

I tend to go back to the last book that Dr. Atkins had anything to do with (2002, I think) and follow the Induction as written there. It's only 2 weeks.

Induction (as in the book) is the fastest way to get rid of the glycogen in muscles and liver and get into ketosis and GET LOSING.

The substitutes for carby food were meant to keep us from going to the high carb stuff when we were well along the LC path. Eveybody gets cravings for stuff they remember. And I feel that's how we should still use them.

But just continue Induction and see how you do.

Thank you so much for those wonderful words of encouragement. I was really feeling sick after I found out that I was not supposed to have them. Hopefully I'll bounce back.
