Default Insanity and Back problems.......Question

Is anyone familiar with the Insanity program....I have back issues. Mostly due to weak muscles/core. I need to strengthen these muscles. I have no real issues any longer (used to have a Vitamin D deficiency that went undiagnosed for 2 years that gave me MAJOR muscle spasm/joint issues...very painful. Led me to gain weight from being sedentary outside my job) Fast forward to now....weak core=sore back.
Can I still do this program being that i have no disk/vertebrae issues? I need something to make me fit and strong!

You can always start with beginner's burpees and modified plank. Won't take you long to build some core strength. Kind in the "Walk before you run" category...

Modify! That's it. I have bad knees all the jumping got to me at first, but I think as I went along insanity actually strengthen my knees. I'm a huge fan of beachbody and have a few of their programs. I think Shakelogy is hype though. just my opinion.

Don't know about the Insanity program but for back problems, check out the Gokhale method.

For lower back strengthening check this out:

In yoga, it is downward facing dog to upward facing dog.

That what I was going to say. Yoga has helped me build my core strength 10 fold. I work a desk job and I used to have a hard time getting up because my backed killed me. Now I am able to do just about anything and that includes workout that the one you are asking about. Try Downward Dog, Plank and more. It really makes a difference.
