Mammograms and weight loss
Ladies,
If you lose significant weight between one mammogram and the next, be sure to tell your techinician, so that can be noted with your images sent to the radiologist evaluating the images.
I just had a mammo after losing 45lbs over the last 18 months. I did have one about 4 months in when I had lost maybe 15-20lbs, nothing special noted then. This time though, there was a slight anomaly that the tech said looked like maybe just skin. I told her about the weight loss. She said that was very important for the radiologist to know. She had a case like mine before, but no one alerted doc, and patient had to return for second imaging. In my case, doc confirmed no issue.
