Default Yummy Salad idea!

Now, I am a newbie (only 10 days on induction) and here I am about to give a "tip" which I know is crazy with all these pros around but here goes...

I just discovered a way to make my daily salad ration much more enjoyable. I bought some of those Pork Rinds (crunchy fried Pork Skins - got them at Walmart). I got some of the hot and spicy kind and I have been crushing them over my salad (just two or three is all it takes - they're pretty spicy) and it's kind of like croutons. Tonight I put them on my salad with Taco meat and grated chedder and it was just like a Taco salad. Very delish!!

Sounds good. those pork rinds/bacon puffs are great for the crunch of high carb things. I haven't tried them in salad. But I will get the plain ones as spicy is not my scene. Thanks for the idea.

Yes, you can also put them in the microwave with cheese on top. Sort of like nachos. I make big taco salads with meat, cheese, olives, sour cream, and guacamole. Delicious!

Oh, I love them nuked with cheese on top. I resisted them for months, but am glad I tried them.
They can be difficult to find around here, so I don't get them often. The "crouton" tip sounds great!

Thats odd... Ijust discovered the same thing myself just yesterday.
I didnt have anything other than eggs and bacon for my salad so I just randomly tossed pork rinds in for the hell of it and loved it.

Default pork rinds

Made meatloaf for the family today, one of their favorites, used crushed pork rinds instead of bread crumbs, added extra egg and the family didn't even notice anything different. They had mashed potatoes and gravy, I had salad and dressing. Only had to fix one meal.
