Question Um, stupid question here

Why can't you eat highish fat on carb up? I'm curious. I was reading an article about calorie staggering, where you eat more every three days. But, that site follows the pyramid as far as fat/protein/carb percentage. So, I considered doing a carb up for one day every three days. Like Wednesday and Saturday. I also have a hard time getting enough calories. I end up eating Olive Oil. (Is also good for high blood pressure, so two birds with one stone) Is it because it will be stored as fat? Whereas the carbs go to the muscles? I haven't tried it yet. One reason I'm considering it is I have symptoms of low thyroid. Long term low calorie (that would be me, bad about eating just at night) can cause that due to the Leptin. I do exercise. I walk for 30 mins and carry hand weights (5lbs) and do arm exercises while I walk. (Tricep extensions 10repsx10/Curl 10repsx5/Shoulder press 10repsx5/Hammer curl 10repsx5/Forearm curl 10repsx5) 5 days a week. This past weekend I was bad for me, but not much over my "dieting" BMR. And went down a half a pound. My carbs were too high too. But, I'm wondering if this is an indication that CKD would work for me. Or if I should just do Atkins type low carb and have two days with RM's. I've tried daily RM's and I get carried away....

Thanks in advance.

You can't have both a high fat intake along with a high carb intake because it will give you a disease called Fatassitude. LOL. In a nutshell, carbs are the primary fuel source. When they aren't used for energy they get stored as fat, then so will the fat. The dietary fat won't get burned if there are still left over carbs not being used.

I'm not sure how specific of an answer you were looking for, but that is the general idea.
