Default Weight Training...advice please!

I have been working out doing weight training and about 20min of cardio following the weights. I still have about 35lbs to get down to where I want to be but ever since I started this weight training my weight has hit a plateau. I am still sticking with Atkins but I would appreciate any advice. The only supplement I am taking is a low-carb protein shake 3 times a day. But it is so low-carb I couldn't imagine it would be the cause of my weight gain...Thanks in advance!

What kind of weight training are you doing? Can you give me a sample of your routine?

My routine is basically 30-40min of weight lifting...start with curls and then pushups then i move on to bench press and then pull ups...Usually the next part I just kind of shake up every time but usually something with my abs...then I finish with 20min on the eliptical.

If i were you I'd move my benchpress and pullups to the front of the routine and save the curls for last. You'll see better gains as your arms won't be as tired from doing the curls. I also suggest doing some squats. They are called the king of all exercises for a reason and the quads are a really big muscle group. I don't know if you've ever tried kettlebells but they are incredible for workouts as they provide both cardio and strength training at the same time. I started doing this about a month ago and my strength and weight loss have been really good.
