Default Making My Way Back

I think that says it all.

I've struggled long enough. I hit bottom, Emotionally and Physically. Long story in my journal.

I injured my ankle twice. Haven't been able to put weight on it for over a month now and have another month to go. Hopefully by the end of next month I'll be up and walking using just a cane.

My pain level has decressed about 50% from where I started in July. So I am improving physically. My emotional state is getting there too. Have to admit I was having a very big Pitty Party.

Its time to focus on myself now and do what I need to do.
Its all about me. This is very hard for me to. I've always been the one to do everything for everyone else first.
I give myself the leftovers so to speek. Most of the time there isn't anything left for me.
I had a wonderful Friend point this out too. Mostly I heard it this time.

But this too is a lifetime habbit and not an easy one to break. But I'm taking small steps in changing this too.

Working toward a new me.

I'm so happy to read this.
Please know that you are not alone in being the sacrificial lamb....many women do that exact same thing and we were trained to be this way as young girls. In certain circles its known as 'people pleasing behaviors'.

Its a hard thing to change but I believe that learning to say NO! and set healthy boundaries for others to respect, is key to making this kind of behavior change a permanent thing and not just while we are losing the weight but for maintenance also.

for you my friend!!

Oh My gosh Skippie! I am so glad you are back and know exactly how you feel. I felt guilty for ther longest time about putting me and my health first. No more. I learned the hard way. I am not giving up on myself anymore. And might I add I don't give a crap about what others have to say about it. It is time for me. I finally realized it. I am worth my weight in gold so to speak. I am going to get my GED and start taking college classes and get a job now, too. I have been way too long sitting there doing nothing and I am upset at myself that I didn;t get the GED sooner. The kids are both in school and my oldest just started High School himself. It is time Mom get's to have some fun and be out and about and mingle with other adults! Sorry I am rambling today.
Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

Hugs
