Hi all,
Hoping to find motivational support. I plan to start Atkins April 1 - been on it a couple of times before. Now that I've given myself this self-imposed deadline to start, I want sugar more than ever. Help keep me accountable please!

Why wait? Get off the carbs now and the cravings will go away much sooner! Good luck.

I did this at the first of the year. Waited until after the birthdays and end of year were celebrated. And I really couldn't wait to get started again. But I also went a little crazy with the sugar eating. I was very happy to get started again and I'm so glad that I did.
You'll find lots of motivation and support here.

Thanks guys. The only reason I'm waiting until April 1st is I'm using up the last of my higher-carb foods I've cooked already (giving away the rest) just so I don't waste it, and I like to start with a fresh month. The holidays are the worst, aren't they? Going to family's for Easter. One more day and I'll start to feel better!

Not too bad. how about you? After dinner of pork chops and broccoli my spoon somehow found it's way to DH's peanut butter jar. Gotta stop that shite. Much better than falling face first into the sugarcarbies though, so I'll take it! Hope your day has been good too.

Today I'm feeling better after the first two days of low energy. Maybe I've switched to fat burning already.

Hey, I am new here and have started on Atkins again. Last year I was on atkins and lost 50 pounds. I started again on 3/31 and seem like I need all the support possible. I have a long way to go on the diet. Induction is whipping my hiney this time around.

But anyway, nice to meet anyone who will listen and offer some much needed support.

Jae

I too am restarting. It seems a lot harder this time deciding what to eat. Is there anything you have found helped when the cravings really kicked in?

Hi,
Happy to meet another Atkins (here we go again person) :-)
I keep sugar-free jello in the little cups on hand. I have tried pork rinds..but I don't really like them because of the fat on them. I know other people who have had much success snacking on them and even using them with a cheese dip, but i just haven't acquired the taste for them yet (but if things keep going like this, I might have to give them another try.) I have tried baking yellow and red peppers filled with a little cream cheese and different types of meat(such as pepperoni bits and ham) Delicious snack. It's usually my snack before bed. Just be sure to carb count with the peppers its real easy to overeat these because they are delicious to me. I just haven't found anything that I can nibble on during the day that will help. I am a potato chip lover, and I need something that will take the place of losing them. I would love carrots, but they are too high in carbs to snack on through out the day. Not a fan of celery. Drinking a lot of water sometimes take away the craving but not like I want it to. But I guess over all..no, I have found nothing that really help with my cravings. Induction is just plain hard..but Oh, so worth it. If I can just make it through :-)
