Default Sydney Newbie seeking IR advice...

Hi all,

I'm newly diagnosed with Insulin Resistance due to PCOS and have been put on a Diaformin dose of 500mg per day. I have just broken my foot and am on crutches with no weighbearing for the past three weeks, some weight for the next three.

I'm putting weight with the inactivity after losing just 3 kilos when I went on the Diaformin three months ago and being at the gym 4-5 days a week before this accident. I still cannot really tolerate grains/flours/high carbs and have turned to Atkins proper now in desperation to keep my weight down.

I'm worried about gallstones from all the fat intake (I've had an attack already but passed the stones safely myself using a herbal process).

Am I on too low a dose of Diaformin to effect a decent weight loss? Has anyone got to the point where they can tolerate a pizza or some pasta or even a slice of bread per day?

Are there any other Sydneysiders out there with Insulin Resistance??

Where are people getting their keto stix and how do you use them?

I have started the Induction Diet but I have a terribly sweet tooth.....am having low-joule jelly made up with coconut milk!!

Thanks,
Em
