Default How to enter ingredients count in recipe?

I'm trying to figure out how to enter a recipe ingredient count into MyPlan. It looks to me like the only way is to figure out all the totals first and then put it in as a Custom Food. Right?

Or is there a site where you can just enter the ingredients and then it calculates the totals?

I just made Almond Bread, for instance, with 1 1/4 C almond flour, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 2 TB butter.

I ate 3/8 of it.

According to the package, 1/4 cup is 14 g fat, 6 gm carb, 3 gm fiber, 6 gm protein.

My recipe used 5 quarter cups so that is 5 times the above: 70 gm fat, 30 gm carb, 15 gm fiber, 30 gm protein, 800 calories for the almond meal in the whole recipe.

So I ate: 26.25 gm fat, 11.25 gm carb, 5.625 gm fiber, 11.25 gm protein, 300 calories in just the almond meal.

I still have to calculate the butter and eggs but I usually just enter them individually, and the computer figures it out. I can add them separately and then just calculate the percentage, but is there an easier way to do this?

From the MyPLAN Info and FAQ sticky (at the top of this forum):

Q
How do I enter a recipe?
A
First, click on New Recipe at the left hand side of MyPLAN. Next, enter the name of the recipe, and number and type of servings. Then click on create recipe. That brings up the place where you can enter the recipe ingredients.
Once you have entered all ingredients, along with recipe instructions if you wish, enter the correct amounts then click on update servings.

Your recipe is now complete, and you can see the full counts there.

Recipes are automatically added to "Favourites." You can also find all your recipes by clicking on "Food Lists" at the left hand side, then clicking on "My Recipes" at the top.

HTH. Keep asking if you are still confused.

I read that sticky and followed those directions, fooled around with it for quite a while, but just didn't get it. With fresh eyes, I think I've got it now. Thanks.
