Default The CSIRO Diet ?

Okay, this CSIRO diet has sold a few books, but does anyone know a person that has lost weight from this and has been able to maintain it ?

Is it more than just hype ?

I do, I do!!!

My friend lost 20 kg and has maintained it for the last 4 months, even while traveling around the world.

I look at it as an extension of the WOL. The recipes are all easily modified if they are not exactly LC and once I figure out what my limits are, I will use some of these recipes. Personally, I try a recipe once and then it seems to stick in the cookbook of my mind. Then I modify it when it suits.

Have you read the book? It is pretty good in my opinion.

I have the book, I stopped looking at when they started to talk about calories

I'm not a calorie counter.

Maybe I should have another look at it to educate myself.
Atkins is working super for me though! 44 kilos in 6 months! w000t!

That's not really encouraging advice is it ?

I see ou are doing Atkins - which is great!

The only credible stories I've heard are things like: My sister's best friends grandmother has gon on it and lost 5 kilos! She loves it. etc etc

I think it's only really effective for the people with not that much to loose.

At my weight and my highest - there is no way it could correct my blood sugar like Atkins does!

It is basically the low GI diet. Similar to Atkins but with more carbs allowed, albeit unrefined ones preferably.
