Default Hey all!

Hi! I'm due in October 2nd. It will be a planned cesarean and my iron is really low. My doctor is telling me to really focus on low carb and meat 3-4oz 4x/day to get it up. She would love to see me drop some weight as well. (I know some ppl don't agree with losing in pregnancy, this is the right choice for me made with my doctor, so please keep nasty remarks to yourself) so I am here for support because I really don't want to eat a lot of meat. It has been my one main food aversion this pregnancy. But that is getting a bit better now that I'm in the fourth month. looking forward to meeting you all

for upping iron,I used a high iron somewhat low carb cereal and dressed it for making it more low carb.eg add soymilk/almond milk.
spinach and greens are also good source.
there is this prenatal liquid iron i for got the name,i did not use it but you may want to look into it.i had meat aversions too but grilled/fried meat was somewhat appealing than cooked ones like in stew.so if hubby cud make some burgers/bbq style for you mayb u can eat that.
Congrats and enjoy!
ps:you can read my thread on pregnancy and low carb weight loss-facts and fallacies for self confidence and sound info on lowcarbing while preggo.
