Good feedback. I'm just at that weird stage right now. And I did let my friend pressure me. I did try to pick out a less carby option and he actually said, "will that really be enough for you?" and it made me feel too awkward.

There really are people who pay attention to what a person eats unfortunately. I have two friends who are great cooks and they work really hard on their meals and they pay attention. And a vegetarian Low carber is a particular challenge for a conventional cook.

I'll buck up. I must say it was MUCH easier going vegetarian than going LC in terms of social eating. In my region people totally accept and get vegetarian. LC, not so much.

You need to work on your thinking a little if a mild comment like "will that really be enough for you?" derails you. Yes, you need to buck up else you'll do something that rhymes with buck up.

Your success in life is determined by things like standing up to peer pressure, real or imagined. Time to start learning how to do that. Take care of what you need and don't spend so much time angsting over what you imagine other people are thinking.

Good luck. You can do this.
