Thumbs up wonderful new "Atkins" salad at Fridays

I just had lunch at Fridays, and they had a brand new "Atkins" salad.
buffalo chicken salad. It was 9 carbs, but you can request a lunch portion which is half the size. It was wonderful!

It had a chipotle grilled chicken breast, jalepeno ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese.

The 9 carb salad had 8 oz of lettuce, and 6 oz chicken breast. For a lunch portion the whole salad is cut in half with 4 oz of the salad mixture and
a 3 oz chicken breast.

The half portion was plenty for a lunch serving. The flavoring was typical Mexican. I happen to love Mexican food. This gave me the same satisfaction of eating a taco salad, without all the guilt.

Today was the first day on the menu. In fact mine was the first one served.
It was on their marquee "New Atkins menu item". Check it out. You wont be disappointed.

Karen

That salad sounds really good and I'll have to give it a try. I'm getting tired of the same old salad with blue cheese dressing. Thanks for bringing that to the forum.

I haven't tried that, but I'm fond of their Atkin's chicken caeser salad (no longer on the menu here, but you can just ask for the regular chicken caeser salad minus bread and croutons). It's very salty. :3 I think back when it was on the menu it was down for 7 or 9 carbs for the serving.
