Thanks, everyone. I'm several years out (4 or 5 I think) from hitting goal, and have stayed mostly within my weight. I'm currently about 10lbs up, but still keeping LC and (mostly) keeping the weight off

This is amazing!! I would love to get my husband on board with me as well. Maybe once he sees I am having success - he will join me. I am beginning today. I am curious about exactly how you did it with the real foods. What was a typical day's food for you? This truly is an amazing story and so happy you got to share that together! Way to go!

This makes me teary.

I am low carbing with my partner, too -- he just had a stroke 2 months ago. We are now down 40 pounds each. We each need to lose about 80, so we are both halfway there ! And he is recovering from the stroke. So we are all good.

Thanks for sharing those amazing pix -- you guys look fantastic, and I bet you feel fantastic too!

September 2016: still kept most of the weight off. I've bounced around a bit, but I've managed to maintain pretty well!

Hi Krystair! It took me 4 years to lose 59 lb but I wish I had quit drinking nearer the start than the finish. I quit alcohol in April of this year and the last of the weight has come off. I am 57 years old and menopause knocked me around. Good advice on the alcohol. You will enjoy good health as a non drinker. I was dx'd with high grade ovarian cancer last week so am knocking back chemo and using a couple of natural methods including fasting to help mop up the stray cancer cells in my pelvis. Gah.

What an awesome success story! You both look great. I'm only just starting Atkins this month--hoping to lose 96 pounds. I normally avoid cameras like the plague, but you've sold me on the idea of taking progress pictures regularly.

I'm just jumping on again -- last time I posted in your thread I was halfway to goal, now I am 5 pounds PAST goal weight. And my partner has lost 75 pounds, as well. I am so glad you have been able to keep it off.... maybe you could share some of your tips on how you have kept on track? I find that finding delicious foods keeps me on track. Actually, I am not really tempted to cheat. The success is too sweet! Congrats again!
