Awesome work guys!
Really enjoyed the pictures and your story. I first discovered Atkins waaaay back in the late 70's. I don't know that I was morbidly obese, but I hated myself as a teenager. As I turned 20, I committed myself to the plan. Like you the weight just fell off, and like you, I just felt better. Eating the right things was easy. And I maintained the loss for years and years....
Then came the whole Low Fat thing in the late 90's. My father had died of a heart attack at 49, so I was a bit freaked. I engaged and the lbs crept back on. Now amount of exercise or low-fat-eating could keep them away. I stayed "acceptably" heavier for a while, but after the ending of a relationship, I shut myself in and dove into all the wrong foods.
So here I am at it again. It's only been a short while and I already feel better and can feel my clothes getting looser. Your story has really motivated me. My goal is 50 lbs, which may be a bit much at my age, so I'll monitor as I get into the 30's and 40's.
My advice: treats are ok occasionally, but when you're done, you're DONE... Go back to eating the Atkins way. And beware of whatever foolish fad comes along down the road -- don't fall into the same trap I did!
Once again fantastic inspiring story! Cheers!

WOW - What an inspiration
I just read your success story - and I must say I am moved. In 2000, my husband and I went on a similar low carb journey together, with great success. We kept off our weight for 4 years, then slowly, got away from low carb. Today, we are both back to our original weights... so depressing.
This week I decided enough is enough, and I am once again starting low carb, with a renewed commitment that it is for life. Reading your story gives me hope that I can do it, and reminds me of how wonderful it feels to reach each milestone.
Thanks. You look amazing!
Karyn
