Question Weight videos for boys???

My 12 yo DS seriously needs to get into shape. He is naturally sedentary--likes books, computers, just thinking --anything except activity. According to charts and drs. he isn't more than 5 lbs. overweight. HIs BMI is like 19, normal. But he looks very fat, even though he has been lifting some weights for a while. I don't notice a change in him.

I suspect part of the problem is that he needs a personal trainer (which we can't do bec. we don't belong to a gym). His body doesn't seem to connect to his brain. For ex., when doing lat rows, he can't get his back flat no matter how much we work with him. We thought it would come with more tone, but it hasn't.

He is on the neighborhood swim team, but it doesn't seem to do much for him, other than cardiovascularly. His strokes almost all look "lazy"--like he is swimming casually, not racing.

I would like him to do his free weights with a video so he can see the proper form every time and keep his pace with theirs. He has a tendency to go way too fast and let momentum take over. He doesn't want to use my FIRM videos, and I don't really want him to, either. Is there a "manly" option out there? A basic workout video for guys?

I would really appreciate any input you experts can give! It breaks my heart to see him heading down the road to obesity, despite the healthy diet we eat at home. Unfortunately, all the siblings are more active and built differently--they can handle the evil carbs (so far!)---he hates not being able to eat the things they do (when I actually try to make him stick to it).
