Like an idiot I thought I could go from no exercise to a light jog - I was walking on my treadmill then thought I could pick up the pace and started a light jog - well all of a sudden I got this searing ripping pain in my left hip - so here it is 2 weeks later and it's still painful but I'm at least able to walk on my treadmill again.

I think I need to just do my walking daily and work up to the jogging/running at least for my body anyway - darn!

Just wanted to chime in, I started the couch to 5K running program 5 weeks ago (started week 5 today and ran 3- 5 minute runs), 5 weeks ago, I was dying after 45 seconds of running. This program really works and just added info, for the first couple of weeks, I jogged very slow, barely over a walk, but gradually the muscles got stronger and now I'm running.

just my two cents.

That sounds like a much better plan than my hip killing fail on the treadmill. I will have to look into it
