Default Honey Mustard Lovers Unite!

OMG OMG OMG...

So good it's WRONG.

I know this is a recipe, but I wanted to share what I made for dinner tonight with you guys.

I tweaked my origional recipe, and came up with this...I think it's better than the 'real' thing!

Low Carb 'Honey' Mustard

1 tbs. Plochman's natural, stone ground mustard (0 carbs)

1 tbs. Mayo (0 carbs)

2 tbs. Heavy cream (2 carbs)

2 packets of Splenda (2 carbs)

This makes enough for a nice, big salad...

With shredded cheddar cheese and some bacon bits, it's DIVINE.

I am in low carb heaven.

Jen

Let me know what you think when you try it. :-) I gave a bite of lettuce w/ the dressing to my stepson and husband, neither of whom low-carb...and they both thought it was delicious!

I think you're the first one who's tried it/reported back. Glad you liked it!

I've made this a few times since I posted last, and I wanted to mention a change that I made that seems to make it even better. I add a couple tablespoons of water, to thin it out and it coats the lettuce a lot better! :-)

Just came across this today. It tasted awsome. Thanks for posting this. I havent had honey mustard in forever and it will be a welcome re-addition to my menu selection. I think I will make the thicker version for chicken. I subsituted hood milk for the heavy cream and it turned out well. Thanks again.

I think an easier honey mustard recipe is 2 parts mayo, 1 part mustard, and a sprinkle of Splenda to taste. Yummy!
