Wink Hello for the first time

Just a quick "Hello" to everyone, I'm new to this forum. I've been living low carb for about 3 1/2 months and I'm loving it. My family has lost a combined weight of 52 lbs since August, and still counting down. This diet has changed my daughters whole outlook on life. She had been gaining weight for sometime and her selfesteem was going down the tubes. She had never successfully lost weight and felt it was near impossible. This diet has shown her that she has controll, and that it doesn't have to be a vicious cycle of eat to feel better because you are depressed about being overweight. She excersizes with me now and her moods are sooooooooooooooooo much better. I'm a lifer

Welcome Zima and to your daughter!

It's so important that you are helping your daughter make wise food choices and that she see that the fault does not lie in her but with how her body reacts to carbohydrates.

There is nothing more empowering than to feel that you are in control and have the right to make the choices best to you.

Good Luck! Join in. If you have any questions just ask.

Thank you for your encouraging words Zuleikaa, until now it has been a heart wrenching struggle.
Any ideas for a low carb graham cracker crust or something close to it for my low carb cheese cake reciepe?
It's just not cheese cake without the crust.
Thanks again, Zima

Thanx Tonya,
I han't thought of a nut crust. Looks like it should work for unbaked cheese cakes as well.
Thanx again, Zima
