Question twice a day workout ok or too much?

Okay, I would really appreciate some advice. I just restarted Adkins in March and have lost about 10 pounds (not too bad considering there are 4 birthdays in my office, including mine )
To shake things up in April, I was thinking I could maybe workout twice a day...A firm video in the morning and go to the gym in the evening. The firm is a good workout and my gym workout is pretty basic--I just use th elipitical for about 25-30 minutes and I only have 3 basic exercises for upper body and lower body which I do on alternating days.
I guess I just want faster results and don't want to waist either my video collection or my gym membership. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Sounds like a good idea to me, for as long as you can keep it up. But do take one day off for rest. When I want to give my weight-loss an extra boost I add an addition evening cardio session to my regular routine and it works for me. Good Luck.

As long as it is not wiping you out, or straining muscles etc, go for it! But be sure to start slow and work into it. And do not forget to stretch before and even after a workout.

If you can keep it up I say go for it. Unfortunately, when I tried to do that I just got really tired and ended up sick. But, keep in mind, that is just me.

I would advise that you move more slowly.
Start with one a day, and then work up to two.

You don't want to burn out too fast. Progress is a good thing, but you have to think long term.

Just my thought.

I get up and walk/jog early in the mornings, then when I'm home from work I do 30 minutes of low impact/high intensity aerobics.

And I feel just wonderful!

But do work out at your own pace. Some mornings I don't feel up to the walk, so I skip it. And I don't feel guilty about it.

Good luck!

I usually run in the morning and do something lke taebo or one of my oter aerobic tapes in the afternoon. It's totally doable, just keep yourself hydrated. Judy

I agree. I think this is a better approach...dont want to over work your body at first. Good luck.
