Default For the LC Stall - Another Idea: Dr. Satchin Panda

This is a different take on metabolic derangement causing obesity and other health problems. Lately, I have seen more actual medical doctors accepting that metabolic problems are causing more than just obesity and diabetes, or causes many other physical and mental health problems, and that is great.

But here is a researcher that is actually making these connections in his studies. I think he is truly on to something that I have been missing in the many years of LC dieting. I have sleep problems and tend to eat more hours of the day than other people.

Even if you don’t have this issue, Dr. Satchin Panda discusses how eating in the few hours before bedtime interferes with the body’s ability to repair itself, and sets off a number of health problems, including obesity, disgestive health issues, and many others, which can actually be reversed by simply choosing a time window of eating (within 8-10 hours).

I find this fascinating. My daughter developed ulcerative colitis while in college. She was always up all night studying and sleeping during the day, and so went her eating schedule. She gained a lot of weight (~40 pounds).

This is a must-watch:

I do well with a 8am-12 pm eating window, for instance.

Never a dietary one-size-fits all. We just have to try stuff. If you choose to use an eating window strategy, you can set the window anywhere you want and see what happens.

Hope you're feeling fine today!
