I'm a guy too - and I agree with all of you. It's worse when i change the angle in the mirror. Face on, I'll feel thinner, then I turn sideways and feel like an orca sometimes. Very frustrating after having lost 65lbs.

I have always had a barrel chest. So I always see that and I do see the love handles receding a little bit. I also noticed that my clothing fits a lot looser. However I also noticed that when I turn to the profile I still see the fatter me at times. Usually after I eat. But at other times I see a skinnier me.

I usually wear baggy clothing to hide it. I just feel like shit when I look in the mirror. And seeing that skinnier person down the street gets frustrating. It happens all the time to me as I see everyone in my area, a college town, has a skinny person on their arm.

Its discouraging but I am beginning to realize that it is me that has to change. So I want to continue doing something that seems to work.

By the way I am a male.

I have lost over 100 pounds and all I seem to see in my body are the pounds that I still need to lose.

We will never be perfect.
(And everyone would totally hate us if we were.)

But...I guess I relate. It's hard to overlook personal imperfections. We have to see them every single day.

Can I take a vacation away from myself for a week?
