Thumbs up Gastric Bypass Tweaking with Atkins

Hey LC Forum members. I guess you could call me a newbie with a past. A little over years ago I had gastric bypass surgery and lost over 175 lbs. by staying with a LC food plan and a serious exercise plan. I even became a licensed personal trainer.

Since then I became far less active (due to health concerns) and strayed from my eating plan. Consequently, I have gained back 40 pounds (although encouraged by doctors to gain back 10 for my goal weight). So I started the Atkins plan with the goal of losing 30 pounds.

Started induction last Monday (May 14, 2018) and during the first 3 days gained 5 pounds, although this morning the scale has gone down 3 lbs. I'm not discouraged because I've done Atkins before and lost 40 pounds. But I found your Forum and the Newbie Tips are great. Glad I joined and look forward to losing weight and gaining friends.

Hi and welcome yesmam.
My daughters friend had surgery a couple of years ago but didn't change her diet until recently. She initially lost weight and now she is focused on getting healthy with Atkins. Meat and vegetables is abound as healthy as can be.
So happy for you in finding this forum. You will find lots of help and support here!!
