Just wanted to introduce myself...
I'm a 53 y.o. male and have been a Type 1 for just over two years now...
I discovered Dr. Bernstein and Diabetes Solution about 9 months
after becoming a Type 1 (At diagnosis my A1c was 11.0)...
I've been following a low(er)carb diet for a little over a year now
and have been decreasing my carb intake gradually...I currently
take in about 80 carbs a day...I feel great...I walk up to five
miles a day and do exercises and light weights...I'm an avid
off-road motorcyclist and I off-road desert ride for extended
hours without problems (snack intermittently)...
I was on the ADA's forum but I've realized (finally) that the
welcome mat was not exactly out there for a low-carber...
My current HbA1c is 5.6 and has been this for over a year now...
Hope to learn more from fellow low carbers...Thanks.
