At least you stopped yourself! I went off the plan for alot longer because of one binge and gained back alot of the weight. I was down to 179 and ate myself back up to 199! That's 20 pounds. Ouch! But I picked myself up, and just started again...now the weight is coming back off. You can do this. I lost 7 pounds the first week I restarted so hopefully that 8 pounds will come off like it was never there! Best of luck!

Yeah, amazing how quick the weight comes back on isn't it? Dang it all.....Been there, doing that now (hoping back on the wagon)! I had potatoes, and lots of alcohol...oh and a hamburger, which seemed like a meatloaf burger at Bike week. God only knows what might have been the filler, sure as hell wasn't 100% beef!

You can do it!

I hear ya man! I went on a week-long binge that ended up in being WAY longer than a week and me gaining back 45 of the pounds I had lost. Man, that sucked! Now I'm back on plan with my lesson WELL LEARNED. Hope you are learning yours this time.

In '72, Atkins says that the one caveat to the LC lifestyle is the rate at which the weight comes back if one goes back to old patterns. Didn't see that in the next versions...guess people didn't want to hear that!

Nope I didn't see that part! But boy is it true!!! That should be put on the cover of the book like a warning so all of us that thought they could go back to "normal" eating and stay the same would've known better!
