Default Faux Malto-Meal

Ingredients

psyllium husks, whole (not powdered) 2TB
Cinnamon, 1/4 tsp.
Stevia 1/3-1/2 tsp.
coconut milk, 1/3 C
Water, 2/3 C
mixed berries (blue, black, raspberry), 1/3 C

1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
2. Add water/coconut milk mixture and mix well.
3. Add berries and stir.
4. Microwave until as hot as you want.

Calories: 138
Protein: 0.0 g
Fat 14.34 g
Carbohydrates: 14.24 g
Dietary Fiber: 9.94 g
Net Carbs: 4.3 g
Sugars: 2.0 g

Calcium: 26.88 g

Sodium: 12.46 g

This might be good with flax....might try it. I can't do psyllium.

I have reservations about heating ground flax seed. Flax seed contains very volatile Omega-3 oils, which can easily become rancid, even with mild heating. You should ask elsewhere on the board if others share this concern.
