Default Food Issues

I go to college and I want to know if anyone can help me with some different dinner ideas. I have a kitchen so I can cook but I don't have that much money to spend on food. Please help I would love some quick and easy recipes. Dinner and snacks are a big problem... I never know what to eat. All I have right now is chicken.. and it's getting old! I will be checking in later. Thanks

There are tons and tons and tons of free recipes on here. You can do a search on this site to find a 'mock' recipe of pretty much ANYTHING you can think of ex- ice cream, cake, mac n cheese, etc etc. The recipes are awesome!! Are you looking for anything specific?

I always just make a bunch of chicken legs or chicken breast sliced up really small, you can freeze some chicken breast in bags, and it will last for however long you need it to! IT really helps me out. Or I make hard boiled eggs and keep them in the fridge.

dude buy Eggwhites: and just whip up some eggwhites: put salsa on top: quick and easy if yourina rush
or buy an eggplant, cut it into rounds, put in the microwave for about 5 min....let cook, season with whatever u got and BAM a nice yummy mushy snack haha: my fav....
orrrr if you just want another type of snack: cabbage is KING, every night before dinner, or just when i get hungry i cut a nice CHUNK of cabbage froma head and eat it with mustard, sounds funny i know but just try it!!!! its so good!

hey girl, as far as snacks, raw veggies are the way to go!! I make sure to always have cut up carrots, celery, or grape tomatos in my fridge. I usually store them in gladware, that way when you get one of those cravings for something on the no-no list, you can just grab some veggies and munch!! and flavored water, un sweet tea, or crystal light are great drinks!

Cabbage + mustard? Sounds like something I heard of back when the "negative calorie diet" was popular. IMHO, if its gonna be a satisfying snack, its gotta have some nutrients to it.

Cabbage has nutrietns, plus its sooooo good. I mean, cabbage is filling as hell. Unfortunately for me I have to watch out for that stuff, it definitely makes me gain. A lot. Its one of those allergy foods for me.

Cabbage makes me gain a lil too, bloat if you want to call it, but it goes away after a good night rest...... drink some peppermint tea after you eat cabbage, that may help!

Giasbash, i noticed that you and me have the same current weight.
and lots of the same eating habits.

as for a good quick snack.. get a 5 lb bag of carrots, and when you have some free time, peel and slice them into sticks, put in baggies, and you'll always have a healthy snack to take with you.
or do the same with celery and a small tupperwear container of reduced fat PB

tuna iin the pouch!!! You don't need a can opener. It's great for pre-work out snacks, cause it's straight protein! 0 carbs!
