No where have I read that you need to keep your calories below 10x to 12x your body weight. In fact several people on here stress that it's got to be above 10x to 12x your body weight!!!!

1400 calories is what your body needs for it to feel like it's not starving and can perform all daily functions. So you need to eat more than that!

I've only been doing this for about a month and I've been eating anywhere between 1400 - 2000 calories and while I haven't lost quickly I've been losing weight.

I hope I'm not misquoting someone on here, but I really think you should look at other boards - like the newbies board - this question comes up alot.

Don't give up.

Carrie

Student here, Baking and Pastry Student Chef in Culinary School going at it my 2nd time around. My first time around I lost about 40lbs but while LCing I found out that I had Diabetes Type 2 so that changed some things. I stoped LC'ing and working out and gained the weight BACK + more. But now I've found a balance and I want to get back on the horse

My goal is to lose 10% of my weight by internship time (Dec. 04).

Nice to see that there's a student section now...things have changed since I've been away.
