Default Food Help

I have a problem. I am losing weight rapidly since I try to maintain a ketogenic diet. The problem is that I am not really hungry.
I am averaging around 50 grams of protein a day. I would rather be at 80-100.

I have to eat more fat than protein, but the fat really cuts my hunger! I want to eat more protein so i do not lose muscle, but I can't eat enough fat to cover it.

Anyone have any ideas? I have my food listed in my journal if you are interested.Thanks.

Can you dial back the fat until you can eat more protein? I would think it would take a lot of experimentation...

Do you have a medical reason for staying ketogenic? Is it truly necessary?

Just one word... why?

well I can dial back the fat, but I probably would end up eating about 1100 calories a day.

My overall reason is diabetes, but If I eat low carb and exercise I do not have any problems with it. I notice that if I try to simply go LC, I end up gorging on meat! I need more fat to offset the reduction in protein.

Is it truly necessary? No, no medical reason. Out of everything I have read it makes the most sense to me. Phinney and Volek.

I know it is early, but it seems to be working really well. Are there some concerns you have? Anything I should consider? Thanks for your help.

Ok, so I'm still a newbie (1/12/15) but I have a thought. Why not add in 1 protein shake a day? Not atkins garbage, but when my protein is low and options are sparse at my house, I drink one to keep my protein levels at about where you want to be. The brand of shakes I drink is called "pure protein", they really do taste good and they will give you 35 grams of protein.

Renee's idea sounds perfectly reasonable and I would suggest that as well.
