I think the whole point of the "pre-maintenance" phase of Atkins is to learn how to eat so that you don't need to count anything anymore. You get comfortable with what you learned in OWL as far as what your carby food limits are and what size portions you can eat to maintain weight and be satiated.
Once you have this down to subconcious habits, you can call yourself a maintainer!
I have been in this phase for about six months now and and just about to tell myself that I can take off the "pre" from "maintenance". Yay!

Good job!

One thing I'll comment on is the fact that you are among a group of people who actually do all the phases of Atkins....not only induction. That is the key to long term maintenance success!

I count both calories and carbs cause I have a monster portion control issue...so that's what I have to do to maintain my weight loss.

MAINTENANCE 4ever!

Jo

Hi! My name is Jo and I’m a recovering morbidly obese carb addict!

I count everything. I weight, measure and count my food. I track grams of Protein, Fat, and Carbs, and total Calories.

A digital postal scale that also weighs in grams, a few measuring spoons, and some small dishes make it easy.

For tracking, a small notebook and a pencil.

Keeping the right amounts of P, F, C in the right proportions means good weight maintenance for me, and the exact food plan keeps away migraines.

If I feel a little too thin or too fat, or think something is "off", I weigh myself. Weighing my food means I don't need to weigh myself very often.

I really like my WOE. It has made my life so very much nicer.
