Default the way I see myself

So I was starting to actually feel good about myself, but then I decided to have hubby take a picture of me so I could post my during picture. I deleted all of them, I thought I looked ugly and fat. I KNOW I'm not fat but I just think I look it. I looked back at some other pictures when I was 10 pounds ligher than I am now and I still thought I looked fat in some of those pictures too! I'm 146 pounds now but I fear when I do hit 130, I'll still feel the same way.

I'm sure you don't look that bad. You've lost over 20 pounds that's good just add one to your in the progress. The problem with cameras is that they add 10 pounds to your weight. I always thought I looked fat in pic even at my goal weight. But then I remeber that cameras add 10 pounds & when your barely 5 ft 10 pounds can make a big difference. When others see the pic they'll start giving you compliements, it will make you feel good again. Don't worry that you won't be satisified at 130. I'd think about that when I get there, who knows maybe by then you'll forget that you thought that.
I was recently 110 pounds wearing a size 3, and I'd look at pics of me by myself & thought I still looked like I could lose a few pounds , even thought people told me I was tiny. Then I see of me with some one eles & I'd look thin again. So get your pic taken with a bigger person & you won't feel that way. LOL

Have you ever checked out harrysgirl's gallery on here?? <If not, you should >

She shows two pictures with just a 4 pound difference between the two...but you'd swear it was at least 20!!

I can't explain how it happened and I'm sure she couldn't either...but since it is a visible shift in body composition, the next 5-10 more pounds for you may yield such drastic results!!!

I had the same thing happen to me recently. I look one way to myself in a mirror and completely different in a picture. Completely depressing. Part of it is the angle, or what I am wearing or it could be that the stupid camera is evil.

Join the club. I have lost 84 lbs and
kept it off for quite a while with no sign
of gaining it back and somedays I still
feel fat, even after a 20 mile bike ride.

I have always had self image problems
and am glad that they are not so
pervasive as before, but still in all,
once in a while I get the feeling I
am still too fat too.

Just take a secure thought that you
are doing all you can do to solve your
problem and that kind thoughts about
yourself are part of the solution too.

The camera does add 10 or so more pounds. My boss, an aspiring actress filmed a small role in an indie straight to vid flick and you'd swear she was 160 lbs. when she was (at that time) only 125 or so. It was crazy to see how much the camera distorts the body. Don't get discouraged, just have hubby take more photos at different angles and experiment.
