Default Weird Coke float

Someone had posted in the Supermarket section about that Anchor extra thick squirty cream in the gold can... i bought some today , just for a wee treat to squirt into my mouth when i feel a craving (it's only 0.7 grammes carb per 100ml, and the entire can is 250ml) and had a brainwave....

i skooshed a tall glass about 1/4 full of whipped cream, then added a Diet Coke... stirred it up and it went all foamy, but when i drank it, it reminded me of Coke Floats i used to get as a kid (coke & ice cream stirred together), only not so sweet. It was great!!!

I loked up the ingredients in anchor squirty cream on www.carbgenie.com and it seems they do a few - some with sugar and some without, so you need to check the list of ingredients to buy the one with no sugar added.

This one looks OK

I just add a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream to diet coke to make an awesome cream soda that reminds me of coke floats.

I like the sound of that! Easier to find double cream than the sugar free Anchor stuff.

Two new things learned here for me - how to make a delicious drink and also about www.carbgenie.com - brilliant site for UK shopping, particularly if you shop at ASDA like I do

Well I found the diet coke/cream okay for the first couple of mouthfuls but maybe made a bit too much - it was a bit too sweet for me

I will definitely let you know on the peanut butter from H&B
