Smile Low carb fan interested in SP

Hello, low carbers. Hope you are having a terrific day on program. I have been doing my customized low carb for a while....kind of Suz Somers meets Dr. Atkins. I need to add some foods for variety and long-term living, so am checking out SP.

Hope you don't mind if I hang out with you all. Are there any good informational sites available? Got the book, understand the basics, I believe.

Take care!

Default Welcome, Carol

I think you've made a good choice. TSP is working for me and it's easy to follow. This is a good forum to follow for ideas and inspiration. Also, have fun with the other forums, you'll find lots of interesting information there.

Good luck!

;-Deb

Welcome!

Personally I think "TSP" is one of the best plans for getting , staying healthy, and gradually losing weight.

The Dr.'s own website is; http://www.schwarzbeinprinciple.com/

if you have about an hour to listen there is a radio interview with Dr. S at;
http://www.lauralee.com/archives/index.htm
then scroll to the link for interview with Diane Schwarzbein

The Schwarzbein Principle really started me on the road to renewed health (after years of damage from low fat, high carb diets). I combine her principles with principles from the book "The Insulin Resistance Diet."

If you ever get the Insulin Resistance Diet book, just ignore the advice about low fat, but follow the rest of it. It's really a great book and a good compliment to the SP. It's kind of like a cross between Sugarbusters and lowcarbing. It's a really good plan.
