Default just an update

just wanted to check in and say how great things are going. im eating about 50-40-10 protein/fat/carbs and man i feel soooooo good. ive got more energy than i can ever remember having. ive been getting to the gym every day.. sometimes i have so much energy i go twice a day. i can already tell me muscles are starting to build back up. another great advantage of more protein less fat is that i dont have any bathroom problems anymore. i go at the very least once a day now, before i was lucky to go once a week

Matt-That is so great to hear that you are having such success with higher protein. I too have upped my protein a bit in the last week to about 135g per day and I have also felt a surge in energy, plus a slight decrease in weight. Maybe some people do better one high fat, lower protein, but I am definitely not one of them. I never lost weight till I really increased the protein and lowered the fat, plus it helps so much with energy and cravings. Protein curbs cravings for me; fat only makes me hungrier. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, and I hope you will continue to update us on your progress!

Moonwalker,
I'm glad this is working so well for you!
I've been doing Atkins for over a year and really like it. But I just picked up a copy of protein power, and am giving that some thought, too. Now that I am trying to maintain, I think less fat and more protein might be the way to go.
