i know i'm going to get yelled at but, although it is possible (as some of you have shown) to do a marathon on low carb, carbs have been the rate limiting factor in things like speed and time to exhaustion. these are very important. so while you can do anything you want, carbs will always make longer endurance excercise easier. again, not magic, but easier.
also, if you wanna kinda guess carb intake per mile, i've seen the number 20 carbs per mile floated around (4calories a gram) makes eighty calories and assuming that the other 20 come from fat. but intensities will change all this. all the best to everyone here, it is quite impressive that you guys have ran so far, i am jealous of that because i could never go past 8 miles on low carbish.
