Hello

My name is Merle..I have been on Atkins since September 12, 2011. I have almost lost 20lb. not very much I know. But my husband and I are doing this together and he has lost 50lb. I exercise, he does not. I have lost inches though. I have not cheated until yesterday...I really got sick of towing the line for awhile needed something yummy to eat. I am 55 years old, have diabetes, thyroid disease. Love to cook..my A1C fell below 60 at my last check up..Looking to lose 20 1st goal....and 10 more by my birthday..May 8.

Hi Merle - Congratulations on your (almost) 20 lbs lost. Make no apologies for it, lost weight is lost weight. And, men are always going to lose faster - it's that darned testosterone.

I'm a slow loser too, have lost only 25 lbs in the past 16 months. However, I'm at my lowest weight in 25 years, so I'm most grateful for that. And I did it without hunger - even if it takes a little longer, it's well worth it for that.

All the best to you in reaching your goals.
