BBQ is great for the low carb and high fat thing, Tanya, do you work out at? I am at the 650 (old cordova club). I hope I am doing this the right way, why cant I respond to each person individually? I hope that all of you can read this? I played football for the Univ. of Nevada in Reno. Long way from home. Miss Lake Tahoe very bad. Such a pretty place and lots more emphasis on being fit. Oh well, I can look at the big muddy when I miss crystal clear Lake Tahoe.. yah right... Talk to you later.

Hey Memphis, I work out at the Bartlett rec center now, but I am building a house off walnut grove and germantown pkwy, so will probably be working out at the 650 by at the end of the year or so. I am glad you did not play for U of M, not a very good football team .

My first 35 came off pretty fast, then it slowed down. I have been at a stall for a couple of months now. Keep it up, you're doing great.

Thanks, I was wondering if we can use BBQ sauce on the chicken, pork and the like. I am having a hard time eating BBQ with no sauce. There are about 7g of carbs from the sugar. Is that no good? Or can I eat it after the induction stage. Feeling better today and a little more energy than deathly monday........

I am glad you are feeling better Memphis, before you know it, you will feel soooooooooo good, I know I do. And to answer your question, NO, you can't have BBQ sauce, too much sugar. Try putting a little (or a lot ) butter on you steak or chicken, it melts and tastes great. I love butter all over my steak. Let me know how you like it. And remember, REAL butter.

Default butter?

I was also wondering about the BBQ sauce, so thanks for answering that question. The butter sounds great, I'm having steak tonight and I think I'll give that a try, thanks.

ZIGGYKATS, I like that one. Not even just a little BBQ sauce? just kidding. I marinated my steak in real butter for a couple of days, you will love it!!! try it with a little marinade salt. very very good.
I am on my 4th day of induction and this has been my food so far:
Breakfast: eggs and bacon glass of water
Lunch: Chicken breast small small salad
Snacks: smoked sausauge link or piece of Salmon
Dinner: steak or salmon or chicken water small bit of veggies?

Am i doing the induction period the right way? I noticed cheesburgers and bacon for lunch. Should I put more fat in my day during the induction phase???? Thanks, keep up the great work everyone, want to see some before and after pics later down the road. I have a before pic that i could post, SCARY<SCARY

Default Hi Memphis

Memphis, I'm new to this also. I've been looking at the booklet that come with the video tapes. There is a lot of stuff you can eat. I was feeling depressed in what I could not eat. Today I had a Hardees six dollar burger with out the bun they thought I was nuts but it was very satisfing.

The Snacks listed in the booklet are:
Celery filled with peanut butter
Turkey and Swiss cheese rollups
Roast beef spread with a little mayonnaise rolled up
Cheddar cheese squares
Swiss cheese cubes wrapped in bacon
Guacamole served on lettuce
Deviled eggs "YUM"

More Snacks!
Scrambled eggs with chedder cheese
Ham roll up with mustard
Salami and Jack cheese
Hard-boiled eggs with mayonnaise
Sliced steak with roasted peppers
Shrimp cocktail
Dr. Atkin's Diet Shake Mix!

Wow that's not bad, huh!

I bought the ketosis strips but I haven't begun to get into ketosis yet I checked last night it was the first one beige on the strip.

I've got to do better about drinking water.

You'll get it doesn't seem bad at all when we change the way we eat. I'm giving the 14 days my all and hope I have no problem continuing.

Oh yeah, the before and after pics I would like to see. I get more inspired when seeing people and the difference weight lose makes. I will be looking to put mine up when I get the nerve and know how. We are all in this together.

Good Luck,

Kathy

I love salami and cheese!!! Can't believe that I didn't buy some at Kroger. Have to get some this weekend. I can feel the inches going away just not the lbs. I usually gauge my progress by how my shorts fit and what notch on my belt I use. That for me is the most telling instead of just looking at the lbs. Where can I get some the Keto strips? Maybe GNC??? I take it you have to tinkle on them or what? When you get to the Keto stage isnt that when you begin to lose the lbs? How about I ask one more question, :-), just kidding. Time for a hair cut at Goulds. Talk to you later., GO FOR A WALK THIS WEEKEND!!!! :-) Jeff
