Question HUNGRY

I guess I just need some encouragement, but this time around I am really hungry. First week back.....I eat about 5 times a day (meals and snacks) and seem to not be satified. I'm eating less than 10 carbs a day (salad and the traces in cheese and meats).

Any suggestions? I was not eating as much before I went back on WOL as I am now!

Thanks,

Julie

Julie, if you're hungry, eat! Listen to your body. Keeping carbs too low could be part of your problem, you do need those 20g a day - or Atkins would be a 0 carb plan, not a low carb plan.

Are you drinking your water? (64 oz a day and 8 oz for every 25 lbs you want to lose) Often dehydration will present itself as hunger.

Make sure you're getting enough food - 10 to 12 times your body weight a day in calories is the general rule. Using a site like www.fitday.com to track calories for a few weeks will give you an idea of just how much you're eating. Undereating is a major cause for slower fat loss when starting out on this WOE.

Starting a Journal in the "Bootcamp" section of the Forum might be a good idea, as well. If we could see what you're eating every day we'd be better able to offer advice and support.

Hang in there - and eat if you're hungry!
Nat
