Default Something is very wrong with this diet...

My nutritionist told me that I have to eat at least 4 times per day to lose weight...

But, after having breakfast:

- bacon
- scrambled eggs
- some hard cheese

I just.. can't eat lunch, I'm just not hungry until dinner or something.

What's going on?.

Maybe you could have a smaller breakfast meal to make sure you are ready for lunch if you really want to go with 4 meals a day.
Perhaps have fewer slices of bacon, less eggs and leave the cheese for another meal?

Though your nutritionist leans towards 4 meals a day many of us have found we are happier with fewer maybe larger meals a day and once in ketosis often find our appetite diminishes as well.so the meals get smaller!!

I think a good rule is to eat when hungry and till no longer hungry and not to eat if not hungry. YMMV

Is your nutritionist advising you and trained in LC? Why does she suggest 4 meals a day?
LC works best when you "Eat when hungry, drink when thirsty”

Something is very wrong with your nutritionist. Seriously, they have no clue when it comes to eating low carb. The advice to snack a bunch is only relevant to people eating a high carb diet and getting on a blood sugar roller coaster.

With LC you get off the roller coaster and drive on the freeway.

Everyone says that the more meals per day the better.. I googled but couldn't find much info about it, or studies.

Then.. that was a lie?.

It was what they believed when people were eating high carb and low fat.

May I suggest you read a book or two on low carb? Otherwise you'll get whiplash trying to make sense of what you're being told from various sources.

Big Fat Surprise is good for the history of the failed low fat advice.
For now, you could join DietDoctor for the free trial month and watch all the videos/ read articles by Dr Jason Fung and Dr Eric Westman. And one of Dr Fung's on breakfast https://intensivedietarymanagement....-lose-weight-v/

There are so many good sources out there now, hard to pick just a few. Janet always has a ton of good references.

Yes, it is perfectly normal to feel "not hungry".
That is how LC works, if you only eat when you are hungry.

Absolutely normal! If you eat mostly carbs, you get hungry around every two hours. If you eat mostly protein, and moderate carbs and fat, you get hungry about every 3 to 4 hours. But if you eat very little carb, moderate protein and mostly fat, once your body is well adapted, you can go for much longer without eating.

It took me a while, but I only eat breakfast and dinner. And I'm fine!

Same here - once I got to the vlc, moderate protein, & high fat, I stopped being so hungry. Before that I couldn't figure out why I would get so hungry when I was eating low carb. But the high protein was tripping me up. Now I only eat 2 meals a day, and sometimes a snack - a healthy snack, like a small salad or some pecans or celery & mayo.

Just for a bit of perspective, I ate some fatty pork for dinner last night at about 6pm. By noon today I had walked (we went to a local farmers market) almost 4 miles and wasn't hungry but I was starting to feel like I was getting there. my wife and i discussed her need and mine and chose to eat about 1:30. I had about 700 calories of dark chicken with skin and some broccoli with butter. it is now 9:30 and not hungry. Will likly go to bed with out eating.

I find myself doing that, too, Tim. I'll start to feel empty, VS hungry, and know that I'll need to eat fairly soon.

A big difference from the I'm starving and need to eat NOW feeling on high carb, yes?
