thanks jess!

weight is at a new low, but its been slow going this week. Stuck to plan. really unsure about christmas dinner friday. I dont know what their serving and i don't really know anyone that will be there. but they've invited me several times to things so I said I would go I will have to look for the meat!

They had therapy dogs on campus this week so no one will get too stressed out about finals.

Good job Jess!

Here's my confession, finished finals and somehow ate the bun with the burger, was gifted chocolate and had 4 pieces. After that horrible cravings hit, I was fantasizing about what was next. Good friend is making fudge and cobbler. That's when I realized if I went on it could take me a week to get back to lowcarb. So I instituted a 15 hours fast. The worst of the cravings are gone now.

This is the second time in a week my friend has tormented me with sweets, she thinks its too hard to diet over the holidays. I hope shes not doing a girl thing. I didn't buy groceries this whole week so that's top of my list tomorrow. Going to stuff myself with fatty delicious meat and keep going.

Enjoyed my cruise a little too much. Cocktails, dessert, and key lime pie. Ugh. No more excuses. Back to LC.

I did want to share a LC appetizer idea that a friend had at a party I attended. She cut hearts of romaine (big stalks) into about a 2 bite size. Then she had Caesar dressing in a small pitcher and freshly grated Parmesan. You made your own Caesar salad appetizer. It was a big hit with everyone at the party.

Renee a cruise is a real challenge to lowcarb. A December cruise, was it cold?

I'm glad you had a good time though. But you are back on track now so all will be well soon enough.

Getting closer...can't say whether or not it will stay. I'm doing my bit, the scale does what it wants pretty often.

The holidays have knocked me out. I guess it came too early in lowcarb process for me. My landlord leaves the doors open day and night so its 53 degrees inside. I weighed wearing 2 pairs of pants a shirt and a hoodie. I think I'll be weighing that way for a while.

I've continued eating lowcarb foods but in an unlimited way. I just weighed as 185.0. My last TOPS weight was 184.8 so I've approximately stayed the same. I can live with that!

Yay for that water weight going!

I'm still just hanging where I am. I was up 2lb this morning. Why? Who knows. Salt threshold breached? My body is silly in the extreme.

Talking OP is EZ

Season's Greetings Low Carbers!

Hope everyone is merry and bright,
I'm checking in OP although closer to 50c/day this week since I'm visiting family in the mountains and relaxing my regimented diet to allow for some SF cranberries and Brie on sprouted flax toast. So far no temptations, but having a couple of athletes for children certainly helps...no junk around here. Made a trip to TJs and found the dark SF chocolate, Ginger Kombucha, cauli rice, spinach dip and some red peppers for dipping. Pot roast and Brussels on Christmas Eve. Oh yes and I'm involuntarily doing the ice diet surrounded by snow. Anyone know how many calories I can burn by shivering?

Stay fab my friends in LC places 👑

Default My best present was renewed resolve

Since restarting lowcarb on Thanksgiving I've been dealing with friend temptations - going into detail about frapachinos and fudge and peppermint bark and being gifted sweets. The last 2 days I've experienced it all - gall bladder pain, waking with my heart racing and low bs sweats, bloating, upset stomach, moodiness, fatigue. Today I was tempted to hash it out and deep think the motivations that caused my friends to act in such ways.

It seemed kind of victimish. So I threw out the leftover sweets, ate my eggs, went on my walk and decided it was all a great motivation to stick to the path I've chosen and not try to figure out those on other paths.
