Default Cocoa

Good morning all,
just a quick question: is cocoa allowed in induction? According to the info I have here it has 16 grams of carbs per 100 gram, but 34 of fibre, so it should be OK. I use 2 teaspoonfuls a day in my protein drink, which is 10 grams max together. That should be OK, right?
Am looking everywhere, since I'm stalling in a big way but am absolutely determined to make this work.

Thanks for your help!
Vilica

I briefly looked at your journal (I don't have much time now, will be by again later) and it appears to me that you're not getting nearly enough vegetables. If I were you, I'd eliminate the protein shakes for now, stay with whole foods, and add a big salad with lots of fresh veggies and another serving of some type of veggie at another meal.

As for your calories...that is debatable. The rule you'll often see around here is 10-12x your body weight. But in my experience on this board, women (espeically if you're over 40) weighing over 225 or so, this ends up being too many calories, unless you're VERY active at the gym. I'd suggest a range of 1800-2100....you may even have to go lower if nothing happens after a few weeks.

Hang in there.... there's lots of help around here!!

Default "confusion on my mind"

Hi Teri,
thanks for taking the trouble to look at my journal. I understand your concern, but it would get a bit confusing so I think it's better when I continue on the way I have worked out now. If this doesn't work eithe, I can change again.
I didn't lose weight, even in induction, so I left out nuts - didn't make any difference - left out cheese, same thing. Then I left out vegs, and have only lettuce etc, no difference. So now I'm at the last stop before going on all fat and 1000 cals.
I got the tip about the calories from the turtle group, and I must admit it sounds logical, so I'll stick to it for the time being.
I am so sensitive to carbs, that I already get cravings when I eat half a fried tomato! But I'll get there, one way ot another,
thanks again
Vilica
