Question Need advice

Hi everyone, My name is Michelle. I need some advice please. I have been back on the Atkins low-carb diet for the past 4 1/2 weeks. I'm having a hard time getting into ketosis. I have not made it past small. I only eat cheese, sugar-free jello and I drink crystal light with my water daily for my carb. count. I am trying to stay under 20 carbs. a day. I am wondering if you think its the crystal light that is not letting me into ketosis. My cheese for the day is maybe a cheese stick, and then maybe some cheese sprinkled on my meat. It's not that much. I eat 2 sugar-free jellos at night, that are carb. free. But all day long I'm drinking the crystal light with my water. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, Michelle

First off, being in ketosis is like being pregnant--you are or your not.

If you're showing small then you are in ketosis.

Darker, lighter, it doesn't matter. You don't lose more because your darker and vice versa.

If you drinking Crystal Light all day long with your water, you may want to re-think this. Crystal Light contains aspartame. Some people are sensitive to it and can negatively impact weight loss. Dr. A advises that you count each packet of SA or each serving of SA sweetened fluids as 1 carb. Those Crystal Light drinks could add up quick if you're drinking them all day long.

HTH

Progress not perfection.

Lisa

What else are you eating?

I have been following this WOE for 5 1/2 years and never checked to see if I was in Ketosis or not.
I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks so much for replying to my question. I eat chicken, beef, salmon, eggs and mostly any meats. I'm thankful that if i'm in a small amount of ketosis than thats just as good. I guess I need to stop drinking just the crystal light and just drink more water. It's just easier to drink it.

Try brewing your own green tea! I used to hate tea, but this round I absolutely love it and what it is doing for me!
