This is the first time I've tried the Atkins diet and have to admit I was a bit sceptical at first. Couldn't believe I was eating some stuff I'd been staying away from before. But now, I know it's working! I'm really happy and looking forward to continuing.

I'm so glad this forum is here for all sorts of help and support.

Well done! It's fun to realize the good stuff you CAN eat, and still lose weight, isn't it?

Welcome Dino! You can see from a lot of the weight trackers and stats of other users here that yes, Atkins definitely works. We have been taught the wrong thing for years, but now you are one of the few that knows the truth. Enjoy the new stuff you get to eat and if/when you hit a plateau on the scale, on this diet a lot of people lose inches while they're stalled on weight, after that goes on for a while they lose weight again. You should measure yourself so you can stay encouraged through those times. After a couple of these I had the thought that if I looked the way I used to and the scale said I weighed 100lbs I still wouldn't be happy, so I guess size is just as important as what the scale says. Keep it up!

lvin4jc - I noticed you only have 10 lbs left to go! Holy cow! That's awesome! And, thanks about the tip to measure. I should really do that today so I can keep track of that as well. Take care!

Hi, Rosebud - Thanks! Right now, since it's new, I'm almost fanatical with updating stats. I'm sure that will slow down eventually. But, I want to keep being fanatical on keeping track of what I'm eating. I don't wish to fall off the wagon this time.

You can update the stats under your plan info, too. At the top of the page, click on "user cf" and you can change anything, pretty much.

Thanks for the info, MickiSue. I'm adding little by little. I have a journal started and it helps to go back and view the highlights (even if only to myself).
