Default Jon's Great buffalo chicken strips

Jon's Buffalo chicken

5 boneless/skinless chicken breast
2/3 cup hot sauce
1/2 cube of butter
2 tablespoons of chunky peanut butter
2 eggs

combine hotsauce and butter in a bowl cook on high for a min in microwave. then add peanut butter, stir until evenly distributed then stir in eggs. cut chicken into 2 inch wide strips. dip chicken into sauce and place on cookie sheet.Salt and pepper to taste, bake at 375 for 35-40 min. it make the best coating I like to dip them in ranch. I think what makes it really good is the PB and the eggs.

Wow! I can feel the "heat" all the way to Seattle! That's a lotta hot sauce, but you know what you're doing, so I'll give it a try tonight.

Thanks for sharing your recipe!

Made it---great tasting, too! Thanks, Jon.

I didn't have any Texas Pete which I ran out of.

Didn't want to use Crab Boil or Tabasco. Used a Louisiana hot sauce, and even though it had vinegar as one of the ingredients, it was great.

I forgot to use the eggs. Just poured the mixture on top and baked. Thank you!! What's your next recipe idea?

I use louisiana hotsauce actually. I should of specified that. I'm glad you liked it.
I would recomend the eggs though just because it make it into more of coating which is really good.

Jon

Wow this looks awesome . . . I know what I'll be doing with some of the 10 lbs of chicken breasts in my freezer!

Any suggestions on how to make it just a little less spicy? Also, how much IS "half a cube of butter"? Do you mean half a stick?

Thanks!!!

These were wonderful, Jon! I made up a batch for lunch the other day and was pleasantly suprised by the complex flavor and tenderness.

I did make a few changes - I used almond butter instead of peanut butter and baked them at 425* for 17 minutes.

Thanks, Jon! I made these last night and they were awesome! I added some "taco cheese" and also a dollop of sour cream, my husband added some tomato, it was REALLY tasty. We were saying how it was almost unbelieveable that we could lose weight eating something so good. Thanks for the recipe!
