Default When a cheat is not really a cheat?

Ok, I had a few too many drinks on Friday night and had a slight hangover on Sunday.

The way I deal with hangovers is to eat a LOT.

I ate about 3500 calories but still managed to keep my carbs at 25 grams (my current OWL level)
I ate a lot of nuts which I have only just introduced.
So was it a cheat?

And then sunday was another story. Couldn't stop eating those damn nuts.
I managed to keep my calories down buyt ended up with about 35 grams of carbs.

Should I just keep going with my 25g OWL level or should I cut back to 20g for this week?

The way I see it is this is a WOl not a test. Instead of thinking it in the form of cheating, think in terms of good food choices, ok food choices, poor food choices and bad.

The huge amounts of nuts probably wasn't the best food choice, but there are worse. The alcohol though was probably a very poor choice, not only in terms of carbs and calories, but the body burns alcohol before fat, so anything eaten is stored. Not to mention effecting good food judgement.

I think LadyBelle's explanation is great! If you've fallen out of ketosis, you might want to go to 20 carbs for a few days just to get back into it. If you're still in it, I would just keep going at 25 carbs.

2 week ends ago I swam in whisky. The next day I had a slight hangover, so I drank a beer.
On monday I was on track again with my 25 carbs daily. Lucky me, my weight loss remains on my average...
