is there any difference between splenda and sucralose and can you buy sucralose or is Splenda the only form of sucralose for sale to the consumer?

Sucralose is the sweetener and Splenda is the brand name under which it is sold. Currently, Splenda is only available in packets or bulk granular form. It's great stuff, but not carb-free; it has 24 grams of carbs in a cup. Many people, including me, have been nagging the makers of Splenda to sell the liquid form or even the pure powder to consumers, but they have so far refused to do so.
