I saw an ad in the paper advertising lowcarb wraps and salads at Subway.
Anyone tried them or know anything about it? I had a quick look on the subway site but couldn't find the carb count or details etc.
Would be nice to walk into a shop for a change and just buy something locarb:-)
I know that Subway says you can have any 6-inch sub as a salad (ie without the bread) for an extra $1. I would say if you were to take care with what you selected (ie in terms of sauces etc) they would be a pretty good low-carb deal.
Mind you I am not sure why they would charge you an extra buck to take away the bread - you would think that this would actually save them money anyway.
Mind you - subways without the bread is a bit like spaghetti bolognaise without the pasta - not much point really.....
Maybe I should just try and be like Jared and lose weight just by eating subs all day LOL

i saw that article too and asked my local subway manger and she said "the low carb wraps will not be available until sometime either mid-january or mid-february.
The low carb Subway wraps will be availabe in the next month or so in the US. I hope they introduce them here too. At least in the US the are 11grams for the Bacon and turkey, and 8 for the Chicken. A bit high for my liking, but the chicken one could be good in a pinch.
Hi, I live in the US (although I am an Aussie). Subway has the lc wraps here now and they are about 12g. They use a low carb tortilla and advertise that is not suitable for the induction phase. They advertise a couple of different types with lots of melted cheese etc, but you can actually ask for anything you like to go inside the tortilla.
