I think you're smart to ratchet it up gradually. And to add that snack. With your commitment and attention I bet you get the results you want and soon, I hope.

Thanks guys. I went over 100g of fat today by inadvertently eating too many nuts, providing a whopping 70g of essential healthy fat, 41g monosaturated.

DAILY TOTAL: 1942.8 cals, 24.63g carbs, 116.6g protein, 122g fat, 35.89g fibre

I am starting to get comments showing my weight loss is working. My best friend saw me in weeks, and basically told me "I think you need to start the bulk right away" It is evident on my face that I have lost weight; it is looking gaunt. But now that I have started the Atkins diet, I am going to at least stick to it for about 2-4 weeks and lose more body fat. It is going to make me even more thinner, but I am going to cut off at 150lb(currently 160lb) and go down no further. At least then I can lose some of the belly fat. Then I will start my clean bulk.

When I start my clean bulk, how many carbs should I add on? I am doing the calculations and I calculated approx 3000 cals a day. Of that 130g(I will be gyming then) will be provided by protein or 520 cals. This leaves 2480 cals. If I eat 200g carbs, that will provide 800 cals. This leaves 1680 cals to be provided by fat or 186g fat. That sounds like an awful lot on a clean bulk diet. If I eat 500g carbs, then the rest will be provided by 53 g of fat. But isn't 500g carbs way too high?

You need to go see a doctor. First a general physician, get a referral then go see a specialist. I congratulate you for trying so hard and being persistent but your issues are outside most people's experience and a specialist could give you some much needed insight.

Nice to hear you got the cals and fat up to range!

yes, why not revisit a doc? just curious.

If you are eating good protein and carb, I would NOT use scale weight as your cut off because you could inadvertently push toward losing LBM as well as fat. I would use inches as the cut off.

As to the carbs, 500 per day? soooooo not needed.
You can eat more protein and some carbs and still be high fat.

I recommend at least skimming some google articles -
"sisson muscle building carbs" and
"sisson muscle building 101
"sisson gain weight build muscle"

I say Sisson because he seems to write the most posts for the exercise side of LCHF.

I'd lose the soy, especially if you're dealing with hormonal issues. It's estrogenic.

Agave is very high in fructose. Get a sugar free syrup like Monin. They're made with erythritol, one of the best non-caloric sweeteners out there.

On the other hand, I can't believe we're telling a 6'3" person how to become emaciated.

To me a clean bulk means no Doritos. I'd almost forgotten it means low fat, to a lot of people. There's nothing intrinsically dirty about fat.
